Jakarta -One of the largest mobile phone operator in Indonesia, PT. Indosat Tbk. will replace the trademark began in 2015. Minister of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Dahlan Iskan explain the plan to change its behalf. Indosat name itself will not disappear, but added the name of its shareholders. PT.Indosat largest shareholder is Ooredoo Asia Pte. Ltd., a business group under the auspices of Qatar Telecom.

"His name will be changed to Indosat-Ooredoo" said Dahlan Iskan. According to Dahlan, the name change is the desire of the majority shareholder of Indosat, which Ooredoo Asia Pte. Ltd. which controls 65% of the shares. The Indonesian government is currently only hold 14.29% stake in the ISAT coded.
Previous Indosat shares bought by Singapore Technologies Telemedia Pte. Ltd. (STT) as much as 41.94% in 2002. Subsequently in 2008, Indosat's shares indirectly acquired by Qatar Telecom (Qtel) QSC (Qtel) through Indonesia Communications Limited (ICLM) and Indonesia Communications Pte. Ltd. (ICLS) amounting to 40.81%. Then bought a series B shares 24.19% of the public to become the majority shareholder of Indosat with 65% in 2009.
Ooredoo controls 65 percent share, followed by the Consortium Skagen 15.29 percent from the United States. While Indonesia has its share of 14.29 percent only, the rest belongs to the public. (Na / squid)
